Although not as popular as Annapurna and Everest areas, many trekkers recommend the Ganesh Himal route. It is famous for Tamang Culture, and spectacular mountain views and rhododendron forest. The Ganesh Himal range consists of several peaks over 7000m in elevation with uninhabited foothills running down to the south and west. You will also vist the town of Gorkha, home of King Prithvi Narayan Shah. No specific permit is needed to trek in Ganesh Himal area.

Gosainkunda (Frozen Lake) Trek Gosainkunda is commonly known as "Frozen Lake". Not only trekkers, but religious pilgrims aspire to this trek at moderately high elevation (4300 m). The pilgrims have a belief that if one takes a dip into the pond, sin comes out of the body.

This trek makes a circuit of the Helambu region through two different national parks. Highlights of the route include typical Sherpa villages,monasteries, and especially picturesque landscape. The region is also famous for its apple production. Trekkers will find this area uncrowded and peaceful.

Jugal Himal (Panch Pokhari) Trek Jugal Himal or "chain of peaks" is situated to the northeast of Kathmandu. It includes the summits Dorje Lakpa (6966m),Madiya (6257m) and Phurbi Chhyachu (6637m) The trail follows a ridge to Bhairav Kund, a holy lake at 3500 meters.We then make a circuit around the head of the Balephi Khola Valley to Panch Pokhari ("five lakes") at 3600 meters, a seldom-visited pilgrimage site. Finally, the trek leads to Helambu region to end at Melamchi Bazaar. |
Langtang Classic Trek: Langtang-Gosainkunda-Shivapuri Langtang is a narrow valley bordering Tibet. A trek to the narrow Langtang valley, bordering Tibet, is a great opportunity to explore villages, climb small peaks, and visit glaciers at comfortably low elevations. The inhabitants of the area are of Tibetan origin, the majority being the Tamang tribe. Expect Tibetan cultural influence throughout the valley.
